Ability to prioritize between skill types when matching employees to shifts
complete
Jurriaan Persyn
When an employee has multiple skills, all matching skills are currently treated equally. It should be possible to assign different weights per skill type, so that a stronger skill match is preferred over a weaker one when assigning employees to shifts.
This would work analogously to how
tagTypeMatchMultipliers
already works for shift tag types.Log In

This feature request is closed because existing features fully cover it. While the setup is different, the outcome is the same.
Because this feature can only work with preferred skills (you can only weigh soft constraints), you can replace every PREFERRED skill with a PREFERRED tag and use the shiftTagMatchRules instead of needing the "missing" skillTypeMatchMultipliers.
See https://docs.timefold.ai/employee-shift-scheduling/latest/employee-resource-constraints/shift-type-diversity/shift-tag-types#_preferred_shift_tags for details.
