Rule expansion request: Request to expand the Employee Period Rule to include fields for "paidMinutesWorkedMin" and "paidMinutesWorkedMax". This would require us supplying this pre-determine duration on the shift object
"shifts": [
{
"id": "1234",
"start": "2025-02-02T16:00:00Z",
"end": "2025-02-03T08:00:00Z",
"paidMinutes": 720
....
}
Use-cases:
- Nurses often have breaks in scheduled shifts and clients may have preference to schedule by paidMinutesWorked, while maintaining the schedule shift calendar event, as it's easier for them to think of the contractual period rules in terms of paid time but still maintain the scheduled start/end time for other rules like minutesBetweenShifts etc.
- Groups have "linked" shifts. For example, "7a-9p + 3a-9a" and then they defined the start/end time on the schedule from 7am to 9am(+), but there is a built-in 12 hours break. Given the challenges with forcing "HARD" patterns and pairings, it's easier to leave these shifts defined as such and then use the "paidMinutes" as a way to control the hours worked per period (based on their contractual obligations).
